Penn State lost to USC in the Rose Bowl on Monday 49-52. USC's Matt Boermeester kicked a field goal as the time expired to seal the victory for the Trojans. USC was able to come off of a 14 point deficient in the fourth quarter. Along with Chip Kelly they are firing the 49ers general manager Trent Baalke. The Philadelphia Union have now announced they have re-signed former United States International Forward Charlie Davies. Davies who was picked up by New England before the trade deadline, had been out of a contract. Davies had one assist last season in his eight appearances for the Union. The Union stated they are excited to get Davies back on the squad for the start of the preseason and look forward to what he can bring to the team.
