| Penn State lost to USC in the Rose Bowl on Monday 49-52. USC's Matt Boermeester kicked a field goal as the time expired to seal the victory for the Trojans. USC was able to come off of a 14 point deficient in the fourth quarter. The Philadelphia Union have now announced they have re-signed former United States International Forward Charlie Davies. Davies who was picked up by New England before the trade deadline, had been out of a contract. Davies had one assist last season in his eight appearances for the Union.
