A father, two daughters, and his niece were killed in a single car crash in Gloucester County, New Jersey, on Saturday night, 8/31. It happened after 9 p.m. on the 1000 block of Gateway Boulevard (Rt. 45) in Westville. 33-year-old George Ritter, his two daughters Alivia and Elsie, ages 9 and 5, and his 8-year-old niece Kenzie Mammoccio were killed in the accident. They were reportedly on their way home from a child's birthday party when Ritter lost control of his Mustang and hit a utility pole. Officials are trying to determine the cause of the crash.

A women is dead after she was accidentally shot and killed while her boyfriend cleaned his gun in their Northeast Philadelphia home on Sunday night, 8/1. It happened just after 11 p.m. on the 9500 block of Clark Street near Murray Street in Bustleton. Police say the boyfriend was cleaning his weapon when it discharged and struck his 22-year-old girlfriend in the neck. She was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. Multiple weapons were found at the home. No charges have been filed.

Philadelphia, Delaware, Montgomery, and Bucks Counties along with South Jersey are now listed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as having 'substantial' community transmission. Per new CDC mask guidelines released last month, it is now recommended that ALL people wear masks in indoor public settings in those areas. That includes those who are vaccinated. This is not a mandate. The best way to prevent against COVID-19 is to get a vaccine.
