The voter ID law is back in Commonwealth Court this morning.
Commonwealth Court Judge Robert Simpson is expected to layout the timeline for the remainder of the case. Judge Simpson's October ruling only stopped the voter ID law for the November 6th general election, which means the law is currently in effect and could be enforced in future elections.

The Philadelphia School District unveils plans to permanently close about 40 schools next fall at a 2 pm news conference today. The district has said it could save $33 million by closing underutilized buildings and that it has 70,000 empty seats across the system.
