NJ Sports Betting, Apple TV Bundle, Kraft Macaroni n' Cheese Recall

Another court hearing, this time before a three judge federal appeals panel in Philadelphia, on whether sports betting will be allowed without governmental interference within New Jersey. On one side is the state, seeing a loophole in recent opinions from the Third Circuit that would pave the way for sports books as long as officials, in effect, stayed out of it. On the other side is sports leagues and the NCAA, trying to stop sports bets from being offered in New Jersey - which for now is prohibited by federal law. The state repealing its prohibition to sports betting is an effort league attorney Paul Clement suggests doesn’t go far enough to circumvent the federal ban. One thing’s certain — whichever side loses will take this matter on further appeal.

Cable TV cord cutters soon may turn to Apple for watching TV. You’d be able to channel-surf CBS, ABC, and FOX, along with HBO — and maybe ESPN and about 20 other live channels which you could stream on an iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV. Expect Apple to announce a bundle this fall, priced around $35/month — plus you’d have to pay for broadband.

Kraft Foods Group is voluntarily recalling approximately 242,000 cases of Original flavor Kraft Macaroni & Cheese Dinner due to the possibility that some boxes may contain small pieces of metal, according to a statement on Kraft’s website. Kraft says the recalled product is limited to the 7.25-oz. size of the Original flavor of boxed dinner with the “Best When Used By” dates of September 18, 2015 through October 11, 2015, with the code “C2″ directly below the date on each individual box. The “C2″ refers to a specific production line on which the affected product was made, according to Kraft. Kraft says the affected dates of this product were sold in only these four configurations:
• 7.25 oz. box, Original flavor
• 3-pack box of those 7.25 oz. boxes, Original flavor
• 4-pack shrink-wrap of those 7.25 oz. boxes, Original flavor
• 5-pack shrink-wrap of those 7.25 oz. boxes, Original flavor

Kraft says consumers who purchased this product should not eat it and they should return it to the store where purchased for an exchange or full refund. Consumers also can contact Kraft Foods Consumer Relations at 1-800-816-9432 between 9 am and 6 pm (Eastern) for a full refund.
