Some people in the Philadelphia area are still without power after last week’s storms. As of Monday morning, there were still 4,400 Atlantic City Electric customers in Gloucester County in the dark. Greenwich Township Mayor George Shivery says New Jersey Governor Chris Christie needs to put politics aside and help their community.

Several Jersey shore beach towns have reported the potentially deadly Man-of-War washing up on their beaches. The Portuguese sea creature showed up in Stone Harbor on Sunday. Several others were reported last week on Long Beach Island in Surf City and Harvey Cedars. The man-of-war has a highly toxic sting that can be life-threatening and is typically found in warmer waters.

Delaware has become the second state in the region to open its first medical marijuana dispensary. First State Compassion Center, opened in a Wilmington industrial park. New Jersey led the way in the area when it legalized medical marijuana in 2010. There are differences between the programs and dispensaries in New Jersey and Delaware. In Delaware the cost is about $100 less, per ounce, and is not taxed.
