Pennsylvania State Trooper Patrick Casey, who was shot yesterday during a chase on I-676, has been released from Hahnemann University Hospital. 31-year-old Casey was hit in the shoulder while pursuing a teen following a traffic stop. That chase ended in a fiery crash. 17-year-old Giovanni Cotto is being charged as an adult with Criminal Attempt to Murder of the 1st Degree (3 Counts), Aggravated Assault (3 Counts), Assault of Law Enforcement Officer (3 Counts), Simple Assault (3 Counts), Fleeing and Attempting to Elude, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Possessing Instruments of Crime, and several Firearms Act Violations. He is being held on $3 million bail. Authorities are looking for a 4th person from the initial traffic, 19-year-old Kaymer Lewis. They want to talk to him about the incident.

Tonight, Thanksgiving Eve, is one of the biggest nights of the year for heading out, bar hopping, catching up with high school friends, and possibly drinking too much. There are a few municipalities that are upping police presence to keep the roads safe from impaired drivers. How do you know if you had too much to drink? Ride sharing company Uber will be setting up a breathalyzer kiosk tonight in Manayunk. Look for it out on the street. Regardless of your blood alcohol level you'll be able to get a free ride home (up to $20).

Manayunk Brewing company was busy today in the holiday spirit of giving and thanks. Volunteers helped fill 300 meal bags that will each feed a needy family of four. This is the 9th Annual Give Thanks program the establishment has run on the day before Thanksgiving. The dining room is turned into a packing and fulfillment center. More volunteers will come by, pick up, and deliver the meals to pre-selected families in need. Last year they put together 1000 meals, this year that has risen to 1200.

Tonight,
Clear skies, temperatures in the low 40s/upper 30s in Center City
