96th Parade on Thanksgiving Day; Black Friday Begins the Season; Players, Coaches Support Chip Kelly

For the 96th time, crowds gathered on Thanksgiving morning in Philadelphia for the Thanksgiving Day Parade. Thousands lined JFK Boulevard and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway for the event - the nation's oldest Thanksgiving Day parade. A sea of people stretched all the way to the Art Museum steps. They were entertained by Grammy winner Dionne Warwick, students from the Creative and Performing Arts High School and of course, Santa Claus brought up the rear.

Today is Black Friday. The day people trample each other to get more stuff, one day after the day we give thanks for all the wonderful things we already have. Many stores opened at 6 last night and stayed open all night. Deals range from toys to electronics at retailers across the Philadelphia region.

Hopefully the Eagles performance yesterday didn’t give you Thanksgiving indigestion. Despite being carved up by the Lions 45 – 14 yesterday, players and assistant coaches say they want Chip Kelly back next season. According to the team's Defensive Coordinator Billy Davis "Chip isn't going anywhere.” And so far, the team is holding together in support of their coach. They just aren’t playing like it.

Sports
The Flyers have Nashville this afternoon and in Big 5 action, Villanova plays Georgia Tech. Tonight the 76ers are in Houston

Philadelphia Weather
