A Salem County man is under arrest after he allegedly stabbed his wife to death while their three children were sleeping early Tuesday morning. Police and EMS responded to a 911 call around 5:30 a.m. on the 100 block of North Broadway in Pennsville, NJ. They found 42-year-old Ceema Singh on the kitchen floor suffering from multiple stabs wounds. Her husband, 46-year-old Nitin Singh, was standing in the room with blood on his clothing. He told police he had an argument with his wife. He was taken into custody. The couple's three children, ages 15, six and five, were asleep upstairs. Singh is charged with first degree murder, aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. He is being held on $1 million cash bail at Salem County Correctional Facility.

SEPTA officials announced today at a hearing called by state lawmakers that it plans to replace, rather than repair faulty equalizer beams in over 100 cars pulled from service. The hearing was called by lawmakers who have been getting complaints from constituents about service delays and overcrowded trains. SEPTA General Manager Jeffrey Knueppel said that after testing and analysis, engineers determined the parts must be replaced. There are too many cracks to ensure a reliable repair. They hope to start production of the parts next month. SEPTA has been adjusting schedules and leasing cars from other agencies to meet demand and reduce impact. The transit authority does not expect major problems during the DNC, as convention related travel will happen off-peak. State Representative Kevin Boyle asked for the hearing to get a status update.

The Republican National Convention continues on Tuesday from Cleveland, OH. Today's theme is 'Make America Work Again.' The primetime headline speakers include Donald Trump, Jr., U.S. Sen. Shelley Moore Capito (WV), Ben Carson and Kimberlin Brown. Other speakers of note include Dana White, President, UFC, Natalie Gulbis, Golfer, LPGA, Paul Ryan, Speaker of the House, and Tiffany Trump, Daughter of Donald Trump.
