Police are now investigating after a man was shot and killed in the Tioga-Nicetown section of Philadelphia. Police say the incident happened at around 3:00 pm Friday, on the 3800 block of North 18th Street. Police arrived on the scene to find a 34-year-old man with gun shot wounds to his chest and chin, the man died on the scene. The identity of the victim has not yet been released. Police are also still searching for the gunman in the shooting, and are investigating a possible motive for the shooting.

As the winter season is only right around the corner, one of Philadelphia's popular holiday attractions has now opened. The Rothman Institute Ice Rink at Dilworth Park was re-opened on Friday to start off the season, and the event was filled with fun for all. Since the opening of the rink fell on Veterans Day, the opening ceremonies were dedicated to all the men and women who have and are still serving our country. The ceremony featured a performance from the Philly Pops, a boy scout troop color guard, as well as the singing of the National Anthem, sung by U.S. Airfore Tech Sgt. Christina Thompson. This is the third year the rink has been open in Dilworth Park, and officials stated that veterans and active military with identification can skate for free.

The University of Pennsylvania is now investigating a racist cyber-attack on black students on their campus. UPenn officials have stated that a number of black students at the University were added to a racist "Group Me" account that was filled with "violent, racist and thoroughly repugnant images and messages." Officials have stated it appears that the group appears to be located in Oklahoma, but UPenn Police and IT personnel are trying to locate the exact location of the source and cut it off completely. UPenn officials are coming up with a plan of action to help the students affected by the racist incident.
