SEPTA Officials have announced that the Market-Frankford line will be running with 40 trains short (1/3 of the fleet) on Monday. Officials stated that they are suspending the select trains because they found cracks in the support beams of two rail cars. The shortage of cars will have a big impact on travel times, especially with the morning rush. From 6-10 am, and 3-7 pm there will be no A/B service, so trains will be making all stops. The Pennsylvania State Police have issued an Amber Alert on Sunday night for a 2-year-old girl who was reportedly abducted in Columbia County. 2-year-old Alexis Weber was taken along the 2200 block of West Front Street in Berwick, PA at around 7 pm on Sunday. She was taken in a yellow Ford Convertible with a Pennsylvania tag, HWN-1367. Police say that the car was stolen by an unknown suspect and that it was last seen heading towards Laporte, Pennsylvania. Anyone who spots the car or with information is asked to dial 911 immediately.

UPDATE: The Amber Alert has been canceled. 2-year-old Alexis Weber was found safe near her home. PA State Police say that her mother failed to place her yellow Ford Mustang in park after returning from grocery shopping. The car rolled forward over a parking curb and down a hill. It ended up in a wooded area. The child is ok.

Philadelphia Police are now investigating after a well-known civic activist was found dead in her home on Friday. Police say that 65-year-old Winifred Harris was found shot to death on Friday night in her home in the Powelton section of Philadelphia, Harris suffered a gun shot wound to the stomach. Police say now that there is no known motive for the shooting, and are unclear if this was a targeted attack, or it it was just random. Detectives searched her house on Saturday for clues and to review any surveillance tapes. As of now there are no witnesses, but police are asking anyone with information to contact the police.
