A runaway horse was caught this morning in Port Richmond. The horse named Big Mamma escaped from the Fletcher Street Urban Riding Club in Strawberry Mansion around 7 am. She ran down Kelly Drive and passed the Philadelphia Art Muesum. The horse then turned down Spring Garden Street followed by an escort of police cruisers. Eventually, police were able to coax her into a police horse trailer at Richmond Street and Girard Avenue and take her back home around 7:35 am. In total, her escape run was about 5 miles. She was treated to carrots from a police officer's lunch. See video below.

Two women are dead and a man in hospitalized after a SUV crashed into a parked tractor trailer on the Roosevelt Boulevard this morning in the city's Feltonville neighborhood. It happened Friday morning in the northbound outer lanes of the Boulevard. The tractor trailer was legally parked in the far right lane and the operator was staying in a nearby hotel. Police are investigating why the Ford Expedition slammed into the back of the trailer and became wedged. The male driver was taken to Einstein Medical Center with a broken hip. The two female passengers have been identified as 40-year-old Marshy Hardy and 25-year-old Asia Holland. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

There is a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction of the person responsible for shooting a cat in Bensalem, Bucks County. The cat, named 'Scooby,' was shot on April 10th between 2 and 4 p.m. near the Creekside Apartments on Knights Road. The owner discovered the injured animal and took it to the veterinary clinic of the Women’s Humane Society, but it died. The Bucks County SPCA Cruelty Investigations Division is offering the reward and investigating this crime. Anyone with information should contact Officer Nikki Thompson through the cruelty hotline, 215-794-7425 x107.
