The Atlantic City police department has now opened up its new high-tech surveillance center. The Atlantic City Headquarters for Intelligence Logistics Electronic Surveillance, or ACHILES for short. The surveillance center was built in the public safety building by funding from the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority. The center will keep watch over 500 cameras around the city, and will be manned by officers on desk duty as well as retired officers who will be reinstated as Class 2 officers. Officials hope that not only will the center help solve and prevent crime, they also hope that it will help find missing people and help coordinate emergency responses.

New Jersey police have now charged a man for a violent home invasion that took place in Camden County. 21-year-old Dante Robinson has been charged for the violent invasion. At around midnight on Monday, Robinson tired to break into a home on Kay Lane in Sicklerville. The victim says that Robinson as well as four to five other masked men entered the house and began to beat and terrorize them. The homeowner stated that this is when he shot one of the intruders in self defense. The intruder he shot was Robinson. Robinson was then taken to the hospital and will remain there till he is cleared by doctors. Robinson is now being charged with burglary, aggravated assault and endangering a child.

Pennsylvania Police have now arrested a man after a standoff occurred inside of a CVS in Delaware County on Wednesday night. The incident took place at the CVS on the 200 block of East Baltimore Pike at around 9 pm on Wednesday. Police then arrived on the scene and the suspect tried to stage a standoff. The suspect later realized he was out numbered and tried to make a run for it through the stores second floor storage room. Police were able to later apprehend the man at around 11:20 pm.
