Delco Beer Thief Smashes Store, Steals 2 Cans; Coatesville Crash; 5yo Girl Falls From Apartment

Police in Delaware County are investigating a burglary caught on video of a brazen beer thief early Wednesday morning, 3/20. It happened around 4 a.m. at Newtown Square Beverage located on the 100 block of South Newtown Street. The video shows the man partially smashing in the front doors of the store using his truck. He then manages to squeeze through with just enough room to reach a beverage refrigerator near the front door. The man opens up the cooler and takes just two beers out. He then leaves the scene. An early morning crash in Chester County has left one person dead and another in custody. It happened around 5:15 a.m. at 8th Avenue and Lincoln Highway (Business Route 30) in Coatesville. 45-year-old Monica Fiorentino McGibboney was killed and 22-year-old Tyree Mansell ended up being arrested following the crash. Mansell was driving a black 2013 Kia Optima southbound on North 8th Avenue. He proceed through the intersection and hit Fiorentino who was driving a black 2002 Chevy Monte Carlo east on East Lincoln Highway. Fiorentino was taken to the Brandywine Hospital and pronounced dead. Mansell fled the scene on foot and was captured a short time later. Police are still investigating the accident.

UPDATE: Mansell was driving with a suspended license and failed to stop at a red light. He has been charged with homicide by motor vehicle and other offenses.

Authorities have identified the young girl who fell from a a fourth-story window and died in Allentown on Tuesday, 3/19. 5-year-old Ahnelly Grace Rivera fell from her apartment on the 1400 block of Hamilton Street around 6:45 p.m. She was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, and pronounced dead at 7:41 p.m. The coroner ruled that she died from blunt force head injuries due to a fall. The manner of death was ruled accidental.
