A Cheltenham man has been charged with the murder of his wife and mother-in-law, according the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office. 57-year-old Fredrick J. Clea is being charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the death of his wife, 41-year-old Latiya Clea, and his mother-in-law, 75-year-old Mekenda Sanders. Police responded to reports of gunfire just after 12 p.m. on the 7700 block of Green Valley Road. Fredrick answered the door. The two women were found shot to death inside. A Glock handgun was also retrieved. Authorities say a verbal argument between Clea and his wife preceded the shooting "The combination of a recently purchased gun and anger toward his wife and mother-in-law proved deadly," Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steel said. "Tragically, two young children are now left without parents and a grandparent in their lives, and the defendant faces spending the rest of his life in prison." He as been remanded to Montgomery County Correctional Facility with no bail.

Philadelphia police were called to break up two large block parties on Saturday night where large crowds had gathered and social distancing guidelines were definitely not being followed. One party started around 10 p.m. on the 5800 block of Colgate Street in the city's Lawncrest section. The other party was around 11:30 p.m. on the 3300 block of Allegheny Avenue in the Allegheny West neighborhood. There were several hundred people at this party. They city announced earlier this month that it will not be issuing permits for any large outdoor event including block parties until February 2021.

After today's 11-6 win against the Philadelphia Phillies, it was learned that the Miami Marlins had 4 players test positive for coronavirus COVID-19. They were kept out of the linuep. Jose Urena was supposed to start for Miami, but was bumped because of the diagnosis. Robert Duggar took the start instead. After the games the team remained in Philadelphia. They will fly back home on Monday where they are expected to play Baltimore. "We were more comfortable flying as a group later," Miami manager Don Mattingly said. "We're talking about these guys traveling back home to their families and their kids, and it's the reason we want to be safe." He added, "The guys that tested positive are quarantined here in Philly." In order to return to the team, players must test negative twice at least 24 hours apart, show no symptoms for 72 hours, and receive approval from team doctors.

UPDATE: Monday night's game between the Philadelphia Phillies and the New York Yankees at Citizens Bank Park has also been postponed.
