Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf announced on Tuesday, 9/8, that indoor dining in the state can expand to 50% capacity on Monday, September 21. Restaurants will have to go through a self-certification process to expand capacity. The process ensures that the facility is following all state guidelines. Once an establishment goes through the process they will appear in the Open & Certified Pennsylvania database that diners can search to find compliant eateries in their area. Restaurants will then receive a packet of information including window graphics and signage to identify their certification on location. Restaurants will have until October 5 to complete the self-certification process. Beginning 10/5, various state agencies will begin enforcement and checking restaurants' self-certification status. Establishments that sell alcohol will have to stop alcohol sales at 10 p.m. starting 9/21. Philadelphia just reopened indoor dining at 25% capacity on Tuesday. The rest of Pennsylvania has been operating at 25% since at least June 26 when the rest of Southeastern Pennsylvania moved to the 'green' phase.

Police are investigating after a driver was found shot inside a car on the side of the road in Bucks County on Tuesday afternoon, 9/8. It happened around 3 p.m. on Lincoln Highway at N. Olds Boulevard in Falls Township. The victim was shot in the back of the neck. They were rushed to the hospital, condition is not known. Police were able to track down the shooter in a car nearby.

A teenager has been arrested and charged in the stabbing of two people on a Jersey shore beach on Labor Day afternoon. The 17-year-old male juvenile from Newark, NJ, is charged with two counts of attempted murder. It happened around 3:30 p.m. on Point Pleasant Beach near 300 Boardwalk. Police were called to a fight between two groups. The suspect pulled a knife and attacked two other people. They have been identified as 22-year-old Alex Galdamez and 18-year-old William Mazariegogo both from Haverstraw, New York. They are in serious but stable condition at Jersey Shore Medical Center. The suspect is being held in juvenile detention pending an initial court appearance.
