Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid will be donating his NBA All-Star game bonus to Philadelphia homeless shelters. The 4-time All-Star starter is giving his $100,000 winnings to Project HOME, Sunday Breakfast Mission, and Youth Service INC. The money will provide for 15,000 meals, 4,000 essential clothing items, 1,000 COVID-19 vaccines, support for 30+ formerly homeless familieshomeless families, a six-week summer camp for 50+ homeless and at-risk youth, plus shelter and essential needs for over 300 teens. The NBA All-Star game is on Sunday, March 7, at 8 p.m.

"So many have fallen on such hard times during the pandemic," Embiid said. "I felt it was important to provide more support for individuals and families struggling with homelessness and food insecurity. I'm continually grateful for all of the support that Philadelphia and the fans have given me not just around All-Star but all my years in the league. I will continue to help in any way I can."

A Delaware County man is in custody after leading police on a wild multi-state car chase following a domestic incident. It started early Saturday morning, 3/6, on Springfield Avenue in Ridley Township. The man had fired a shot in his house while arguing with his wife. He was driving off in his car when police arrived. They chased him over the Commodore Barry Bridge into New Jersey and then headed south. He then took authorities over the Delaware Memorial Bridge into Delaware. He headed back north into Pennsylvania. Authorities deployed spike strips and successfully flattened the man's tires, but he continued driving on I-95 to the Blue Route. He got off at MacDade Blvd and drove back to his own house. They arrested the man after a short standoff. He faces a list of charges.

Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro announced the arrest of a man wanted for 1,000's of car burglaries in Bucks County. 33-year-old Keith Johnson is charged with 76 counts of loitering and prowling at night, along with other counts of burglary, theft, and receiving stolen property. Authorities have been searching for Johnson for months. The Bucks County District Attorney's office had released a bulletin last September with information and photos about the crimes. Johnson operated mainly at night and stole only from unlocked vehicles. He would take things like vehicle registration and insurance cards, credit cards, loose change, and sunglasses. He'd place things in a "satchel-style bag slung across the shoulder." He also had a distinct gait seen in surveillance vidoes. "The spree has targeted just about every municipality in the mid-upper to mid-lower parts of the county, officials say, from Hilltown Township to Yardley. And, officials say, the spree has extended into western New Jersey." Johnson was remanded to Bucks County jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.

"As a result of the tireless investigation by our office in partnership with local law enforcement, this community can have peace of mind knowing the individual charged today with breaking into more than 1,000 cars in Bucks County is being held to account," Shapiro said in a statement.
