| Transgender Woman Assaulted and Stabbed; Large Illegal Parties Making Havoc; $1k Reward SEPTA Attack |

A 32-year-old transgender woman was stabbed and critically injured around midnight Saturday, 3/20, in Germantown. It happened on the 200 block of Montana Street. 45-year-old Robert Easley is charged with attempted rape, aggravated assault, and sexual assault-related offenses. According to police, Easley met the victim on Friday night, 3/19, and brought her home where he lives with his mother. Easley made advances on the woman, but she pushed him away. He began to rip her clothes off and then grabbed a knife and stabbed her multiple times. Easley's mother called police to report a fight upstairs. Police arrived to find the victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Easley was taken into custody.
A man was shot and killed on Sunday night, 3/21, in Philadelphia's Logan section. It happened around 9 p.m. on the 1800 block of Lindley Avenue. The 26-year-old man was shot 20 times around his body. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. No arrests have been made.
One person is dead and five others were injured after an early morning shooting in Philadelphia at an illegal 'pop-up' party on Saturday morning, 3/20. It happened just before 4 a.m. at a catering facility, Hot Pot Cuisine, on the 4200 block of Germantown Avenue in Hunting Park. "There were at least 150 people in there that fled and believed they had to flee for their lives," Philadelphia Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw said. The shooting started inside the building and spilled out on to the street. "There's casings inside and out," Outlaw said. "There was a shootout of some sort and there were multiple shooters." A 39-year-old man was killed. Two men and three women were also injured by the gunfire. Outlaw says these illegal parties are becoming a problem as the pandemic continues, and unfortnately this one ended in a shooting. "We don't always know when they're happening, where they are, who's involved," she said, "and in this case, a shooting occurred and not only one person was shot and killed, but there was six people."
Early Sunday morning, 3/21, police officers responded to the report of a person with a gun but encountered a crowd of 100-125 people. It happened around 2 a.m. at Front Street and Allegheny Avenue in North Philadelphia. Police tried to disperse the crowd as objects were thrown at officers. A 30-year-old man was arrested after he assaulted a police officer and a police sergeant. They were each struck multiple times.

SEPTA police are offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrests of four suspects wanted in the attack of a SEPTA worker last week. The attack happened around 11:30 p.m. Monday, 3/15, at SEPTA's 15th Street Station in Center City. Surveillance video shows the 55-year-old worker being swarmed by a group of young people. He gets pushed to the ground and is kicked and punched repeatedly. He was treated for a concussion, cuts, and bruises and is now recovering.
