Josh Harris, part-owner of the NBA Philadelphia 76ers and NHL New Jersey Devils and founder of Harris Blitzer Sports and Entertainment, reversed the announced decision to cut certain employees pay in the wake of the coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak. The NBA Philadelphia 76ers and NHL New Jersey Devils have notified at-will, non-contracted employees that they will be subject to pay cuts starting next month. Full time employees making $50,000 or more will be affected and cuts could go as high as 20% for those making $70,000 or more. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court dismissed a lawsuit filed a by a gun shop that challenged Governor Tom Wolf's authority to close businesses deemed 'non life-sustaining.' The majority, without comment, denied the petition brought by a gun shop, a gun purchaser, and a law firm. The suit argued that Wolf's order violated the Second Amendment right to bear arms and other constitutional rights. On Sunday afternoon, 3/22, Delaware Governor John Carney issued a stay-at-home order for all residents and said that all non-essential businesses must close due to the coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak. The orders go into effect on Tuesday, 3/24, at 8 a.m. and last until May 15 or until the public heath threat passes.

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf said Friday night, 3/20, that enforcement of his order to close all non life-sustaining businesses given on Thursday night, 3/19, will be delayed. Enforcement was to begin on Saturday, 3/21, at 12:01 a.m. It will be delayed until Monday, 3/23, at 8 a.m. The delay in enforcement is being attributed to the high volume of waiver requests from businesses.
