Bensalem Township Police are seeking the public's help in finding a young girl's lost Minnie doll. The cherished doll belongs to Bryanna Ramirez. Minnie has been by her side through 40 brain surgeries at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. It was last seen on January 4th around 6 p.m. a the Chick-fil-A restaurant on Horizon Boulevard near the Neshaminy Mall. The doll is not new, but well-loved. The Burlington County Prosecutor's office announced on Monday, 1/6, that the deaths of a couple in Burlington Township last week have been ruled a murder-suicide. 30-year-old Kristopher Corry and 28-year-old Tianna Drummond were found dead around 8:45 a.m. on Thursday, 1/2, inside of their apartment at the Willow Pointe Apartments on Salem Road. Former Republican U.S. Representative Mike Fitzpatrick of Bucks County passed away on Monday, 1/6, after a long battle with melanoma. He was 56-years-old and is survived by his wife and six children. Fitzpatrick served four terms in Congress from 2005 to 2007 and again from 2011 to 2017. His brother ran and won in his place in 2016. Brian Fitzpatrick continues to serve in the House. Five people are dead and around 60 are injured after a multi-vehicle pileup on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in western Pennsylvania early Sunday morning, 1/5. It happened at 3:40 a.m. in Westmoreland County about 30 miles east of Pittsburgh. South Jersey police are investigating after a beloved deli owner was stabbed to death in a robbery on Friday afternoon, 1/3. It happened around 4:50 p.m. outside the Shamrock Delicatessen on the unit block of South Davis Avenue in Audubon. 52-year-old Jerome Pastore of West Berlin noticed that the tip jar had been taken off the counter and went outside to confront the alleged thief. Two men were killed and another critically wounded in a shoot out at a South Jersey motel on Thursday night, 1/2. It happened around 8 p.m. at the Salem Motor Lodge in Salem. A Bucks County man is under arrest after he beat and raped a woman he held captive in his home on New Year's Day. 48-year-old Curtis Fish is charged with rape, kidnapping to inflict injury or terror, aggregated assault, and related charges. Philadelphia ended 2019 with 356 homicides. That is the most in the city since 2007 which saw 391 people killed. Three people were shot and killed on New Year's Eve to bring the total above the 353 deaths in 2018. Philadelphia's new police commissioner, Danielle Outlaw, was introduced on Monday, 12/30. She is expected to start February 10th.
