A Berks County mother has been arrested and charged with murder in connection to the deaths of her two young children found hanging in her basement. Lisa Snyder was arrested on Monday morning, 12/2, and charged with two counts of first-degree murder. Snyder had called 911 on the afternoon of 9/23 and told authorities that she found 8-year-old Conner Snyder and his 4-year-old sister Brinley hanging in the basement by a cable dog leash in their Albany Township home. Accumulating snow is now in the forecast across the region as part 2 of this early December storm begins to wind up heading into Monday, 12/2. December is going to start with some type of wintry precipitation throughout the area. This will be a long duration storm lasting through Monday. It's not a huge storm, but it is impacting during the busy post-Thanksgiving commute. Most places will see some mix of snow, sleet, freezing rain, and rain. Bear Spotted in Villanova, Radnor; Body of Man Found in NE Philly; Teens Arrested in DE Walmart

A bear has been sighted roaming in Villanova, Delaware County on Friday morning, 11/29. The Radnor Township Police Department confirmed a report of the bear which was seen walking on a property on the 700 block of Harrison Road around 6:30 a.m.. Surveillance video of the bear was recovered. The Pennsylvania Game Commission has been notified. If you spot the bear, contact 911.

Gusty winds on Thanksgiving afternoon, 11/28, apparently blew over a wall in West Philadelphia, crushing several cars under a load of bricks. It happened around 12:30 p.m. on the 6000 block of Osage Avenue. Neighbors say is sounded like a 'boom.' At least three vehicles were buried under a pile of bricks and wood from the exterior wall of an abandoned garage. The Department of Licenses and Inspection was on scene to inspect the damage. The double stabbing happened last Friday, 11/22, around 9 a.m. on the subway between the Logan Station and Olney Transportation Center. Officials say that a Berks County couple was killed in their home with a hammer by an unidentified person who then set themselves on fire in a nearby garage on Saturday evening, 11/23. Firefighters responded around 5:30 p.m. to the 900 block of Chestnut Street in Union Township for a garage fire.
