Former Philadelphia Eagle great Ron Jaworksi has stepped in to help a South Jersey little league football team. The Millville Junior Thunderbolts had been invited by Snoop Dogg to play in the Snoop Youth Football League Nationals in California next month. However, the team was short on fundraising and wouldn't be able to make the trip. Delaware State Police have announced that the death of a teacher whose body was found in the Brandywine River this past summer has been ruled a homicide. Officials say that 50-year-old Susan Leyard of Wilmington died from a combination of blunt force trauma and drowning. She was discovered in the river near the Church Street Bridge on July 23rd. A Philadelphia man has been arrested and charged with the murder of a Fox Chase woman in her home last week. 30-year-old Arthur L. Caesar of Somerton is charged with murder, robbery, tampering with evidence, and other offenses. 35-year-old Jill Millman was discovered on Wednesday, 11/6, by her mother. She had been stabbed multiple times in a second-floor bathroom of her home on the 800 block of Bergen Street. Caesar is being held without bail.

A 14-year-old girl is in police custody in connection to the murder of a 60-year-old man in Philadelphia's Rhawnhurst neighborhood early Monday morning, 10/4. No charges have been filed yet. Al Chernoff was discovered dead in his bedroom around 3 a.m. on the 8000 block of Algon Avenue. He was tied to the bed and had a large wound to his head with slashes on his chest. Doylestown Police responded to reports of a shooting in the Belmont Square neighborhood late Thursday afternoon, 11/7. It happened near the intersection of Court Street and East Streets. A 19-year-old woman was critically injured when her vehicle slammed into the back of a parked school bus and became wedged underneath as part of a multi-vehicle accident in West Philadelphia on Tuesday morning, 11/5.
