Philadelphia Police provided an update into last weekend's separate shootings of an 11-month-old boy and a 2-year-old girl. 11-month-old Yaseem Munir Jenkins was shot and critically injured while riding in the back of his step mother's car on Saturday, Oct. 19 on the 700 block of W. A high ranking member of the Philadelphia Police department was indicted by a grand jury on sexual assault charges. 54-year-old Chief Inspector Carl Holmes turned himself in to police on Thursday morning, 10/24. He was arrested and suspended 30 days with the intent to dismiss. Holmes is charged with the commission of aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault, and other sexual offenses. In an incident last week, a Philadelphia Eagles' lineman was forced to wield a shotgun against an intruder at his New Jersey home. Corbyn Nyemah of Marcus Hook, PA, went to Eagle's DT Flether Cox's house in Mullica Hill, NJ, to make contact with his ex-girlfriend who was staying with Cox. Nyemah was armed with a baseball bat and threw large rocks through the front door windows. He threw rocks at the ex's car in the driveway. Police say that a suspect has been taken into custody for the fatal shooting of a 2-year-old over the weekend in North Philadelphia. The suspect was arrested in Chester on Tuesday, 10/22, by Philadelphia police. During a special meeting on Tuesday, 10/22, the Upper Darby School District accepted the resignation of a middle school teacher who was caught on video using racial and derogatory remarks towards a parent. It happened on October 10th in the parking lot of Drexel Hill Middle School. The teacher, identified as Renee Greeley, and a parent had a minor fender bender before school. A teenager has been arrested and charged with raping a young woman at gunpoint in broad daylight at Norristown State Park in August 2017. Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele announced on Monday, 10/21, that they arrested 19-year-old Mason Alexander Hall, who was 17 at the time of the attack. FBI toxicology tests have determined that three Americans that died in the Dominican Republic this past spring while on vacation died of natural causes. 41-year-old Miranda Schaup-Werner of Whitehall Township, PA, died in May at the Grand Bahia Principe in La Romana. A Philadelphia jury found 22-year-old Michael White not guilty of voluntary manslaughter in the stabbing death of 37-year-old Sean Schellenger.
