A massive three-alarm fire tore through a 115-year-old historic church in West Philadelphia on Tuesday afternoon, 8/27, in West Philadelphia. It started just before 3 p.m. at the Greater Bible Way Temple on the 1400 block of North 52nd Street near Warren St. in the Parkside neighborhood. There were workers on the roof of the church when the fire started. Firefighters arrived to find heavy flames and smoke coming from the roof. Philadelphia Police are searching for a man wanted for stealing the poor box from a church in the city's Holmesburg neighborhood last Friday, 8/23. It happened just before 4 p.m. at St. Dominic's Church at 8504 Frankford Ave. The entire incident was caught on surveillance video. Meek Mill Pleads Guilty to Gun Charge, Other Charges Dropped, Decade-long Case Closed

Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill, aka Robert Rihmeek Williams, pled guilty on Tuesday, 8/27, to one misdemeanor count of possessing a firearm without a license. All other charges were dropped. This closes his over decade long case stemming from a 2007 arrest on drug and gun charges. Judge Leon Tucker accepted the plea and said, "I know this has been a long road for you and hopefully this will be the end of it."

A store employee shot and killed a robber inside a MetroPCS store in Southwest Philadelphia on Monday afternoon, 8/26. It happened around 4 p.m. on the 7000 block of Elmwood Avenue near 70th Street. Surveillance footage from inside the store shows what happened. The suspect, a man in his 30s, walks in brandishing a firearm and throws a bag on the counter.
