Philadelphia Police are searching for a suspect wanted in a deadly double stabbing in the Brewerytown neighborhood on Monday night, 8/19, that was the result of an argument over social media. It happened just after 11:30 p.m. at 29th and Jefferson Streets. Apparently, the 19-year-old female suspect was in a fight with two sisters because of something posted on Instagram. Nine people were injured, including several children, when a tree fell down after being struck by lightening at a Bucks County swim club on Sunday afternoon, 8/18. Charges Dropped Against Trash Truck Driver; Missing Philly NAACP Man Found; $3mil Scratch-Off Philly

A judge has dismissed charges against a trash truck driver who allegedly hit and killed a female on a bike in Center City in 2017. 28-year-old Jorge Fretts was charged with vehicular homicide, involuntary manslaughter, and reckless endangerment in February 2019. Judge Lillian Ransom dismissed all charges on Wednesday, 8/15. The city has 30-days to appeal.

Six Philadelphia Police officers were shot and nine total were injured during an active standoff in the Tioga-Nicetown section of North Philadelphia on Wednesday, 8/14. Two officers and and three hostages who were trapped inside the home for several hours were evacuated by SWAT. The situation has ended.
