Police are investigating a hit-and-run accident that killed a pedestrian in Bucks County early Monday morning, 8/12. The body of 38-year-old Timothy McGuire of Ogden was found in the bushes along Hulmeville Road near King Avenue in Bensalem after 6 a.m. by a neighbor out for a walk. Police believe that he was actually hit hours earlier around 2:30 a.m. while walking along the road. Green plastic parts of a fender and headlight were left at the scene of the crash. Two people were injured when a small two-person helicopter crashed near Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE) on Sunday afternoon, 8/11. It happened around 2:30 p.m. on the 900 block of Postal Road in Hanover Township. Lehigh Valley airport officials say that the Schweizer 269C helicopter departed from the ACE Pilot Training School at the airport. SEPTA is offering a $1,000 reward for information that can help identify a suspect wanted for punching a SEPTA bus driver last month. It happened on July 8th on the Route 55 bus. A young man stepped onto the bus but did not have any fare. The driver did not allow the man to board the bus. Before the man exited, the suspect punched the operator in the face. He then fled. A man is wanted for robbing a 70-year-old woman of $11 at gunpoint in Center City last week. It happened around 1:40 a.m. on July 29th on the 800 block of Locust Street. The elderly woman was walking along the street when she heard footsteps and turned around. The man had a gun and demanded money. He reached into her pockets and pulled out $11 and walked away. Two Pennsylvania constables have been arrested for illegally providing security for Sunoco's Mariner East Pipeline. 47-year-old Kareem Johnson, a constable in Coatesville, and 58-year-old Michael Robel, a constable in Northumberland County are facing charges of bribery, official oppression, and ethics act violations. The Philadelphia Eagles held their first and only open practice during 2019's training camp on Sunday evening, 8/4. Lincoln Financial Field hosted 40,000 fans excited to see football back. The number of open practices has dwindled since the days camp was held at Lehigh University. This year, admission was $10 instead of free like previous years.
