| West Norriton Township police are searching for two suspects wanted for allegedly abducting an elderly woman from a department store and robbing her at gunpoint in Montgomery County earlier this month. | Fire broke out at the popular Melrose Diner in South Philadelphia during dinner time on Wednesday evening, 7/24. The landmark 24/7 restaurant is located at the crossroads of 15th, Snyder, and Passayunk. The fire started just before 6 p.m. near a vent. Employees tried to put it out with water until firefighters arrived. Everyone was evacuated. The fire was quickly contained. It happened just after midnight at the Sunoco Station at 8019 Germantown Avenue in Chestnut Hill. The incident was caught on the store's surveillance video. Firefighters responded to a call of a fire in a trash chute high up in a 19-story residential high rise in West Philadelphia around 9:30 p.m.on Thursday night, 7/18.
