A Winter Storm Warning is now in effect for the entire Philadelphia area from 3 p.m. Sunday to 7 a.m. Monday. We can expect several inches of heavy, wet snow across the region. Rain or Snow will start to fall from SW to NE in the mid afternoon Sunday. It will be all snow N and W totaling 6-8 inches. The city and immediate suburbs could see a little mixing and totals between 4-7 inches. South Jersey and Delaware could see 2-4 inches with a change over to rain. Snow fall rates could reach 1... The new Amtrak schedule board is now up and running in Philadelphia's 30th Street Station. The 'Passenger Information Display System' replaces the iconic Solari flip board and its distinct clickety-clack sound that stood since the 1970's. The removal of the old board was met with opposition from the nostalgic public. The new board, however, is more efficient, ties in with Amtrak's other systems, and is ADA compliant. Temple University officials issued a warning to students, faculty, and staff on Thursday after several students on campus have tested positive for mumps. Student Health Services says that four students have the highly infectious disease. The mumps symptoms are similar to the flu and can include tender swollen glands below the ear and along the jawline. Symptoms appear 16-18 days after exposure. Phillies Sign Free Agent Bryce Harper; Federal Charges For West Philly Shooter; Crash on Rt. 309

The Philadelphia Phillies have signed a record-breaking deal with free agent outfielder Bryce Harper. The deal is reportedly for 13 years, $330 million which tops the previous free agent record set by Manny Machado for 10 years, $300 million that he signed with the San Diego Padres last week. The deal is larger than the 13 year, $325 million contract extension signed by Giancarlo Stanton in 2015.

A Delaware State Trooper was injured after being dragged by a vehicle in Mill Creek on Monday afternoon, 2/25. It happened around 2 p.m. near Kirkwood Highway and Ferrand Drive. The latest attacks happened on Thursday night, 2/21, and early Friday morning, 2/22. The pattern of assaults started on December 20th. The male suspect is targeting women late at night.
