A Philadelphia Police officer was injured Saturday night, 12/15, after being pinned against her patrol car by a suspect driving a stolen rental van. It happened around 7:30 p.m. at Sedgely and Ridge avenues in Strawberry Mansion. The officer and her partner stopped the U-haul truck and were investigating the possibility it was stolen. A high school senior was killed Friday morning, 12/14, in a single-vehicle accident on the way to school in New Castle County, Delaware. The crash happened before 7:30 a.m. on the 1800 block of Newport Road in Marshallton. 18-year-old Sarai Trujillo was driving to John Dickinson High School. Authorities believe speed was a factor. The crash happened around 10 a.m. on the Route 202 southbound ramp to westbound Route 30 bypass. Residents in one Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, neighborhood have gotten fed up with a large pothole that keeps growing larger and larger without any intervention from the city. The traffic hazard became so big that one woman decided to 'plant' an artificial Christmas tree in the hole. Another man put a plastic Santa inside beside the tree. Philadelphia Police have arrested a man for the murder of a homeowner and two others inside a Tioga-Nicetown home this past Saturday, 12/1. 23-year-old Tahzay Young was arrested without incident in Center City on Wednesday, 12/5. Young is accused of killing 92-year-old Warren Harrison, his girlfriend, 60-year-old Khadijah Abdullah, and her brother, 57-year-old Earl Cottle.
