The two men accused of killing Philadelphia Police Sergeant Robert Wilson III in March 2015 pled guilty today in court. Carlton Hipps and Ramone Williams accepted a plea deal that took the death penalty off the table in exchange for life in prison plus 50-100 years. Wilson was shot and killed inside a Game Stop store in North Philadelphia during an attempted robbery. The family of the fallen officer wanted the DA's office to pursue the death penalty in the case. A man on a bicycle was struck and killed by a dump truck in North Philadelphia on Friday morning, 6/22. It happened after 8:30 a.m. at Whitaker Avenue and Luzerne Street in the city's Franklinville section. The truck was traveling westbound on Luzerne Street and the man on the bicycle was riding alongside. The truck driver tried to turn right onto Whitaker Avenue when he hit the cyclist. Thursday night was the 2018 NBA Draft held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. The Philadelphia 76ers had 2 first round picks and 4 second round picks in tonight's draft including the 10th overall selection. President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Wednesday, 6/20, that will end the separation of children from parents after they cross the US-Mexico border illegally. The new order does not end the 'zero-tolerance' policy that prosecutes all immigrants caught crossing outside border checkpoints. Police in Trenton are now investigating a mass shooting that took place at a 24 hour arts festival early Sunday morning. The shooting took place at around 2:45 am at the Roebling Wire Works Building on the 600 block of South Clinton Avenue. 22 people were injured in the shooting, including a 13-year-old boy.
