Sports betting is now open in New Jersey after a long legal battle that ended with a favorable decision by the Supreme Court for the Garden State. The Chester County District Attorney's office says that a 4-year-old girl was taken from her home in the middle of the night and sexually assaulted. It happened on June 10 around 3:30 a.m. in Avondale. DA Tom Hogan says that 35-year-old Humberto Guzman-Garcia of Avondale randomly knocked on the apartment door and the little girl answered. Rescue crews were able to locate and recover the body of a man trapped underground following an explosion at a Bensalem gas station on Tuesday, 6/12. It happened at Liberty Gas on the 1200 block of Bristol Pike around 4:50 p.m. Co-owner Joseph Vigilante and worker, 63-year-old Frank Tomasiello, were cleaning the vault that encases the 8,000 fuel tank by removing water when there was an explosion. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court won't remove the judge from Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill's case. At a hearing on Tuesday, 6/12, three of the justices denied his request to remove Judge Genece Brinkley from his long running case and three of the justices supported it. Justice David Wecht did say that Mill could bring the matter up again at a hearing next Monday, 6/18, when he appears before Brinkley herself. It happened near 12th and Locust just after noon. 18-year-old Ryan Segin of Woodbine, New Jersey was taken into custody by Philadelphia Police. A police officer shot and killed a woman who police say tried to run him over while fleeing a shoplifting in Deptford Township, New Jersey. Officers were called to the Marshalls at 1800 Clements Bridge Road around 3:40 p.m. on Saturday for a shoplifting in progress involving one man and two women. A Taiwanese exchange student who recently pled guilty to threatening to shoot up his Delaware County high school is now facing a federal firearms charge. 18-year-old An-Tso Sun pled guilty on Monday to making terroristic threats. A federal judge ruled on Wednesday, 6/6, that the Trump administration cannot cut off grants to the City of Philadelphia for failing to meet certain conditions involving the way the city handles illegal immigrants.
