Officials in Northampton County announced this afternoon that a Lafayette College student who died last week suffered a fatal head injury when he fell and hit the concrete floor of his dorm room. Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli said that there is no evidence of a crime and charges are unlikely. 19-year-old McCrae Williams was found outside his dorm on Sunday, September 10th by campus police who were responding to a medical call. Philadelphia Police have now seized a large amount of heroin and fentanyl in an Oxford Circle home on Monday. Police say that nearly $370,000 worth of drugs were found inside of the home located on the 1000 block of Rosalie Street. The drug bust comes after a long joint investigation with the DEA. The driver of a car that struck and injured a teenage girl in front of Abington Senior High School has now been charged. 32-year-old James Clark IV has been charged with aggravated assault by vehicle, reckless endangerment, and other related offenses. Earlier Tropical Storm watches for coastal portions of New Jersey and Delaware have been canceled but that doesn't mean those areas won't still be affected by the storm. A SEPTA Market-Frankford El train partially derailed Saturday morning near the Spring Garden stop. It happened around 11 a.m. The train was traveling east from Center City to the Frankford Transportation Center. It was slowly crossing over from the eastbound tracks to the westbound tracks because of maintenance work when the lead car derailed. SEPTA says there were 30 people on the train at the time. Two women were wounded when shots were fired at their South Philadelphia home early Friday morning. It happened around 2 a.m. on the 5400 block of Hatfield Street in the Kingsessing neighborhood. Philadelphia Police are searching for a man wanted for robbing his former neighbors. Police say that 21-year-old Mark McLaughlin broke into a home on the 7300 block of Hill Road in Roxborough around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday morning. He then tied up a 75-year-old man and assaulted him while the man's 74-year-old sister was still asleep. McLaughlin took the keys to their vehicle and stole their car.
