Fire in South Philly; Man/Woman Found Dead In Car; Start Of Cosby Sexual Assault Trial

Philadelphia Firefighters spent most of Sunday afternoon battling a house fire in South Philadelphia. The incident took place at around 3:45 pm on the 2600 block of Sherdian Street. Officials arrived on the scene to find to heavy smoke coming out of the house from the fire. Luckily the fire was able to be put out and there was no report of any injuries sustained.

Shelter In Place in Warrington, Prisoner Escape; Bear in Feasterville Video; Dawa Store Lawsuit

A shelter-in-place order has been issued for the Warrington / Chalfont area of Bucks County. Residents were notified by reverse 911 call after a prisoner escaped during transport near Lower State and Bristol Roads around 8:30 p.m. Sunday. You are asked to stay in your homes and lock the doors as police pursue the suspect. Parts of Doylestown are also nearby.

Philadelphia Police have a suspect in custody in this week's stabbing of City Councilman David Oh. 24-year-old Shawn Yarbray surrendered to police at the Southwest Detectives headquarters around 11 a.m. this morning at the urging of his family. He arrived with his attorney and step-father. He was identified by investigators and an arrest warrant was issued on Friday night. Former Penn State president Graham Spanier was sentenced to at least two months in jail and two months of house arrest for failing to properly report allegations of child sexual abuse at the hands of former assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky. Spanier was convicted of misdemeanor child endangerment in March, but acquitted of a second endangerment charge and felony conspiracy. Philadelphia Police are now investigating a shooting that left one man dead in the Strawberry Mansion Section of Philadelphia. The incident took place at 24th Street and Cecil B. Moore Avenue at around 4:30 pm on Thursday. Police arrived on the scene to find the 31-year-old victim with four gun shot wounds to the chest and six gun shot wounds to the back. Philadelphia City Councilman at large David Oh has been released from the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery after being stabbed during a robbery attempt near his home last night in the Kingsessing neighborhood of Southwest Philadelphia. It happened around 9:45 p.m. on the 5800 block of Thomas Ave. Oh was getting bags out of the trunk of his car when he was approached by a black man in his 20's. Philadelphia Police are now investigating after a man was stabbed in the neck in West Philadelphia on Wednesday evening. The incident took place on the 5500 block of Chestnut Street at around 6 pm. Police and medics arrived on the scene and quickly rushed the man to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center for immediate treatment. So far there is no word on his condition, or any word of a motive. Police are searching for the suspect or suspects responsible.

Philadelphia City Councilman-at-large David Oh was stabbed in the back during an attempted robbery on Wednesday night. The New Jersey jury in the murder trial of David "DJ" Creato, accused of killing his 3-year-old son Brendan in October 2015, has failed to reach a verdict in the case.
