SEPTA Officials are set to meet on Thursday, and it is expected that they are going to approve a new plan to purchase new rail cars for its Regional Rail lines. The plan would be to purchase 45 bi-level rail cars from CRRC, which is a subsidiary of a Chinese manufacturer. SEPTA Officials stated that they are also going to work with the Edison Welding Institute to ensure the work on the cars is done correctly. Authorities in Camden County are investigating after two infants were found dead this morning in their apartment. It happened at The Pine Apartments at 550 Bilper Avenue in Lindenwold, NJ. The 911 call came in around 8 a.m. The woman on the phone told dispatchers, "My twins are purple. They're not breathing!" She told the operator she was attempting CPR, but it was not working. Deadly Shooting In Pemberton; Volunteers Needed For NFL Draft; Part Of Walnut Street Closed

Philadelphia Police are now investigating a deadly shooting that took place in Pemberton, Burlington County. The shooting took place on the 100 block of Kinsley Road at around 9:30pm on Tuesday. Police arrived on the scene to find a male victim with a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene. Police are still searching for the suspect responsible.

Pepsi announced that it will stop selling 2-liter bottles and multi-pack quantities of beverages such as 6 and 12 packs in Philadelphia blaming the city's beverage tax. The bottling company says that it wants to offer consumers products in package sizes that are affordable. In a letter to stores PepsiCo stated, "Because of the Philly Beverage Tax, people are buying far fewer taxed beverages - particularly those in larger package sizes because they now cost so much more." Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams has been indicted in a federal corruption and bribery case. The 23-count indictment was announced on Tuesday afternoon and includes charges of bribery, extortion, and honest services wire fraud. Authorities alleged that Williams received gifts such as luxury vacations to the Dominican Republic, a Jaguar convertible, furniture, jewelry, airfare, cash and more totaling $160,000 in valuables in exchange for official acts and prosecutorial favors.... A similar bill was passed through the house two years ago that was later vetoed by Gov. Wolf. The bill was brought up again in a house session on Monday, and passed through the house once again. The deaths of a man and a woman found in separate locations in Berks County are being called a murder-suicide by authorities. Shortly after 1 a.m. Monday, Charity Groff called 911 and described hearing someone pounding on her front door and then hearing a gunshot. This happened on the 200 block of Fourth Street in Shoemakersville. 50-year-old Carol Zimmerman of Mohrsville was found shot behind the Groff's residence. Philadelphia Police are investigating after $1 million worth of jewelry was stolen from a store in the Lawncrest section. It happened at Kim Thanh Jewelry in the Asian Market on the 5500 block of Whitacker Avenue. The burglars entered through a hole in the roof. They also cut power and phone lines which are affecting neighboring businesses. The same store was robbed about two months ago. That time burglars came in through a wall.

Philadelphia Police are looking to speak with a number of persons-of-interest related to a brawl that broke out in the Race-Vine subway station last week. It happened around 3:45 p.m. Thursday. The fight started as a snowball fight amongst teenagers before moving into the SEPTA Broad Street line station. The melee was caught on cell phone video. Philadelphia Police are now investigating a deadly shooting that took place in the Logan section of Philadelphia. The shooting took place on the 1900 block of Roberts Avenue at around 7:30 pm on Sunday. Officers arrived on the scene to find the victim with gunshot wounds to the chest and stomach. The man was rushed to Temple University Hospital where he later died. Police are still searching for a suspect.
