SEPTA officials stated that they have officially done away with giving refunds for late trains. SEPTA briefly stopped giving refunds for late trains over the summer after losing one-third of its rail cars created many delays. The service guarantee gave passengers the chance to request a full refund on Regional Rail tickets if a train was more than 15 minutes late. Undercover narcotics officers stopped the abduction of a 25-year-old woman on Tuesday night in Philadelphia's Olde Richmond neighborhood. The officers had received a tip about the possible kidnapping. They went to the Port Richmond Village shopping plaza on the 2400 block of Aramingo Avenue shortly after 8pm. A man is now in critical condition after being struck by a car in Northeast Philadelphia on Tuesday night. The incident happened on the 9800 block of Roosevelt Boulevard right near Bowler Street around 7 pm. The man, reported to be in his 40's or 50's, was struck in the northbound lanes of Roosevelt Boulevard. President Donald Trump has nominated Judge Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court. Trump announced his nomination for the vacant seat on the high court at a special press conference on Tuesday night from the White House. 49-year-old Gorsuch is a judge on the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals based in Denver, CO. The conservative judge is known for his clear, colloquial writing, advocacy for court review of government regulations, defense of religious freedom and skepticism toward law enforcement. A Philadelphia Police officer has now been cleared by Internal Affairs over an investigation over the officer's tattoo he had on his forearm. A photo was released last September by the Philadelphia Coalition for Real Justice of Officer Ian Hans Lichtermann's tattoo which is an eagle with the word "Fatherland" above it. Local family members of three families that were denied entry to the United States at Philadelphia International Airport on Saturday are filing lawsuits against the Trump administration. They appeared at City Hall today along with Mayor Jim Kenney and the American Civil Liberties Union of Pennsylvania. Two of the families were from Syria and one individual was from Iran. Philadelphia Police are searching for a suspect who is wanted for robbing a bank in Center City on Monday. The robbery took place at the BB&T bank on the 1600 block of Market Street around 10:45 am on Monday. Police say that the man entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money. The Boys Scouts of American announced Monday that it will allow transgender children who identify as boys to enroll in its boys' only programs. The organization made the decision to base enrollment on the gender a parent or child lists on the application to become a scout. The previous policy relied on the gender listed on the child's birth certificate. Philadelphia Police are now investigating after a woman was struck by a car in South Philadelphia. The hit-and-run happened on 2nd and South Street before 2 a.m. on Monday. Police say that a 20-year-old victim was stuck and suffered leg injuries. She was taken to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital where she is listed in stable condition. Philadelphia Firefighters are now investigating a fire that took place in the early morning hours on Sunday. The fire broke out on the 4500 block of North Bouvier Street at around 5 a.m. in the Logan section of Philadelphia. The fire spread to two adjacent houses and damaged them as well, but the home where the fire broke was vacant. Firefighters are still investigating and looking into a possible cause that started the fire.
