A Philadelphia man was critically injured in a house fire that happened on Wednesday night in Northeast Philadelphia. The fire broke out just after 8 pm on the 1200 block of Cottman Avenue. Fire Crews arrived on the scene and were able to get the fire out in about 10 minutes. A 20-year-old man was taken out of the building and rushed to Einstein Medical Center after he suffered numerous burns to his lower body as well as smoke inhalation. Philadelphia Police have now charged and identified one of the men responsible for shooting and killing a 14-year-old in Mayfair. 19-year-old Samir Price turned himself into police on Tuesday for the murder of 14-year-old Ian Wisley, who was a freshman student at Northeast High. Philadelphia Police are searching for a man and a vehicle used in a purse snatching in South Philly on Sunday afternoon. It happened at 12:30 pm on November 27th in a shopping center parking lot at 330 Oregon Ave. Police have released surveillance video of the incident. You can see the suspect waiting in his car, a late model gray Toyota Highlander SUV. He picks his target and repositions his car for the getaway. New Jersey Police responded to a call Tuesday night of a pedestrian who was hit on the side of the road in Blackwood, Camden County. The incident happened on the 400 block of South Black Horse Pike at around 6 pm. An elderly man was hit while he was on the shoulder of Black Horse Pike. Police arrived on the scene to find the man in the middle of the highway. Police say that the man had suffered extensive injuries and had gone into cardiac arrest. Part of Martin Luther King Drive in Philadelphia will be closed during certain hours of the day starting Tuesday due to construction. The construction comes about after a 75 foot portion of the Schuylkill River wall fell into the river back in August. A section of supported asphalt walkway came down with the wall as well, which can be a safety hazard to the public. A rookie New Jersey state trooper was killed last night in the line of duty in a head-on collision on on Rt. 55 in Millville, Cumberland County. The crash happened just before 7 p.m. near milepost 22.2. 31-year-old Trooper Frankie Williams of Atlantic County was traveling northbound while responding to a call of an erratic driver. Officials have stated that the deaths took place between Friday and Sunday, and the last happening on Sunday evening. Police are now investigating after three men broke into a house in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia in the early morning hours of Sunday. The incident happened on the 4600 block of Oakmont Street at around 4 am. Five adults and three children were inside of the home when three armed men broke in.
