Police have identified the teenager arrested for shooting a Good Samaritan in Rittenhouse Square last week. 17-year-old Mehdi Fraiji of the Graduate Hospital neighborhood turned himself into Central Detectives at 4 a.m. on Saturday. He is charged as an adult with Attempted Murder, Criminal Conspiracy, Aggravated Assault, Robbery, and related offenses. The Wordsworth Academy in the Wynnefield section of Philadelphia announced Monday that it is now shutting down its Residential Treatment Program after a teen died when he got into an altercation with staff members. The incident took place on Thursday October 13th. The faculty started searching the teen's room which led to an altercation between staff members and the teen. Police are investigating four violent incidents that happened off of Temple University's campus that involved a large group of teens. Investigators say that the incidents began when a message was sent out to the group of teens to meet at Temple's Pearl Theater. Former Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane was sentenced today to 10 to 23 months in jail with 8 years probation. Witnesses for both the prosecution and the defense testified Monday at the courthouse in Norristown, Montgomery County. Kane tearfully asked for leniency, hoping to receive probation or house arrest so she could take care of her two sons ages 14 and 15. The north side stone staircase leading to the entrance of the iconic Union League in Philadelphia was heavily damaged overnight by a vandal. Surveillance tapes show a man tugging at the brass hand rail at around 3 a.m. When he pulled the railing free, the rest of the curved stone railing came crumbling down. A car crash that turned into a fiery blaze occurred in West Philadelphia on Sunday morning. The crash happened at 6:45 a.m. at the intersection of 53rd and Chestnut Street. Police say that a car was traveling down Chestnut street when it collided with another car causing it to crash into a utility pole. The car then caught fire, consuming the car and the entire pole. Prince Albert of Monaco confirmed today to People magazine that he was the one who bought his mother's East Falls home to keep it in the royal family. The union that represents Pennsylvania professors from 14 different PA Universities has now ended their strike after 3 days. The teachers have now reached a tentative contract agreement that met the demands of the union for their salaries and benefits. Teachers and other staff walked out on Wednesday after their union turned down a contract from the universities. Man Arrested for 15 Burglaries, Craiglist Shooting in Overbrook, Police Shoot Man With Rifle

Police have now arrested a man who has been accused of 15 burglaries that have happened in Chester and Montgomery Counties. The suspect is James Murray who police say has been robbing homes since July. After he was involved in a failed robbery, Police started to keep an eye on Murray. Police caught him robbing a neighbor's house in Limerick, and took him into custody. Murray is currently behind bars in Montgomery County Correctional Facility.
