A murder-suicide in a well-to-do neighborhood in Northeast Philadelphia was discovered Tuesday. A man and woman were found stabbed to death. 60-year-old Lawrence Carty stabbed 68-year-old widow and former friend Virginia McLaughlin inside her home near Woodhaven Road. Neighbors told police Carty and McLaughlin were friends, but that ended after an argument last week. State law allowing ride sharing services like Uber and Lyft to operate in the city of Philadelphia expires at the end of the month... and right now there's no agreement on an extension. Police in New Jersey are investigating after heroin was discovered in a kindergarten student's lunchbox in a school in Trenton on Monday. Police were called to the International Academy of Trenton Charter School on Monday. The kindergarten teacher said that she noticed the 5-year-old student playing with what looked like a candy wrapper. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court was inside Philadelphia City Hall on Tuesday morning listening to arguments on the fair education funding lawsuit. Lawyers for the William Penn School District and 6 others as well as the Pennsylvania Department of Education presented arguments. President Obama is in Philadelphia today to support Hillary Clinton's campaign for the White House. Detours caused traffic jams all morning even though the schedule speech at Eakins Oval is not scheduled until 1:45.

A 2-year-old boy was shot and killed this morning inside his home in Bucks County. The incident happened around 11 a.m. on the 2100 block of Kumry Road in Milford Township. The Bucks County District Attorney's Office identified the toddler as Benjamin Austin Smith. He was taken to St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. A teenage boy from North Camden is missing and the Camden County Police Department is hoping you can help find him. Jason Molina, 16, has been reported missing from his home on the 600 block of York Street. He is described as a Hispanic male, 6’0” tall, weighing 170 pounds, with hazel eyes and black hair.
