One person is dead and four people are injured after shootings in Egg Harbor Township, NJ this afternoon. New Jersey State Police and Egg Harbor police responded to the Wawa parking lot on Tilton Road in Egg Harbor Township, just off exit 9 of the Atlantic City Expressway around 3pm. Labor Day weekend is coming and that means the annual Made in America concert in Philadelphia. Road closures for the event - Saturday, Sept. 3 and Sunday, Sept. 4 - on the Ben Franklin Parkway are already underway and will continue through Tuesday, Sept. 6. Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams' girlfriend has been charged with slashing the tires of two vehicles outside of his home last year. 47-year-old Stacey Cummings is charged with misdemeanor counts of criminal mischief and possession of an instrument of crime. It happened on November 11, 2015 outside of Williams' Overbrook home. Authorities say a two-year-old boy has died after getting struck by a car Sunday night in West Philadelphia. This happened around 6:45 p.m. in the 4800 block of Merion Avenue in West Parkside. Police say the child ran between two parked cars then out on the street before the car hit him. He was taken to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where he was pronounced dead. Authorities say the driver remained on the scene.

An Amber Alert for a missing 3-year-old girl from Nescopeck Borough, Luzerne County has been canceled. The girl and father have been found safe in New York City. The Pennsylvania State Police issed the alert this morning for the toddler, Ava Byrne, who had been taken by her father, 24-year-old Robert Byrne. He was driving a 2004 Silver Hyundai Elantra. A $6,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever shot an 8-year-old girl. The girl remains in critical condition at Cooper University Hospital. The little girl was hit by a stray bullet in the head during a shootout Wednesday night. Police say there was a target but it wasn't her. A hazmat situation has caused the Philadelphia Fire Department to restrict travel in an area located in the city's Juniata section. Authorities say that around 6:30 p.m., a hazmat situation took place inside a building on the 3600 block of G Street. The building was evacuated and no injuries were reported. Surveillance video released shows a Philadelphia police officer getting struck by a hit-and-run driver in Manayunk early Thursday morning. It happened on the 4100 block of Main Street near Shurs Lane just before 1 a.m. The police sergeant was standing at the window of a cruiser during a traffic stop when a 2008 Toyota Rav-4 driving southbound hits him and keeps going. The death toll from the earthquakes in Italy has more than tripled since yesterday. More the 240 people are now confirmed dead. Rescue crews aided by sniffer dogs are digging through crumbled homes looking for survivors of the magnitude 6 quake that struck at 3:36 a.m. Wednesday. Too many patients are getting multiple prescriptions for narcotics by visiting doctor after doctor. Beginning Thursday, doctors in Pennsylvania have a new tool to battle opioid drug addiction. Physicians enter a name into a statewide data base to find out if that patient has recently been prescribed a narcotic elsewhere in the Commonwealth.
