At Least 80 Dead, 100 injured following Truck Attack in Nice, France during Bastille Day Celebration

At least 80 people were killed and over 100 were injured when an attacker driving a truck loaded with grenades and other weapons plowed through crowds in Nice, France, on Thursday night. July 14th is Bastille Day and the streets were full of revelers out in the southern coastal vacation city celebrating the French Revolution. Former Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy will not face any discipline from the NFL for his role in a nightclub brawl in Old City that involved off-duty Philadelphia police officers. A man who claimed that he told Joe Paterno in 1976 that Jerry Sandusky had sexually abused him in a Pennsylvania State University locker room shower testified under oath that the iconic head coach brushed off his complaint, saying he had "a football season to worry about." A photo of a Pennsylvania woman has gone viral. The shot taken during Black Lives Matter protests in Baton Rouge show two heavily armored police approaching Iesha Evans, an African American woman, as she stands all alone, her dress blowing in the breeze. Ieshia Evans from Scranton is a 28 year old licensed practical nurse and mother of a 5-year-old boy. The photo was shot by Jonathan Bachman.

Protesters marched the streets of Philadelphia Monday evening for the sixth straight day taking a stand against police brutality. Starting at Broad Street and Cecil B. Moore Avenue in North Philadelphia, about three-dozen protesters, many of whom are still in high school, held signs, chanted, and voiced their frustration about the relationship between police and many black people around America.
