| The Philadelphia Department of Public Health announced Monday the first confirmed case of the Zika virus in a Philadelphia resident. The infection occurred in a 60-year-old woman who recently travelled the the Caribbean. She was not hospitalized and is recovering without complications. Zika is usually transmitted through mosquito bites. Not everyone gets sick, but those that do, suffer from fever, rash and joint pain and recover in about a week. Philadelphia Police are looking for the driver responsible for a hit-and-run that sent one man to the hospital Sunday night. It happened just before 8 p.m. near 65th and Grays Avenue in Southwest Philadelphia. Police say a driver smashed into another car and then ran away.
The driver of the other vehicle was rushed to the hospital in stable condition. Anyone with information should contact police as the investigation continues.

A man has been charged with the stabbing of a Kutztown Univeristy Student which happened on February 20th. 18-year-old Robert Centafanti has been charged with attempted first degree murder, aggravated assault, as well as many other charges. The stabbing victim is still currently in Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar-Crest in serious condition.

A lockdown was lifted this morning at a Bucks County High School, and classes are on as normal today. Neshaminy High School went on lockdown last night after a man barricaded himself inside his home near the school. It happened after classes let out for the day Thursday, and the remaining students were picked up by their parents. One person was taken into custody on the 800 block of Granite Avenue around 10:00 pm Thursday night.

| A gruesome discovery was made in Germantown, where SPCA officials say they broke up a dog fighting operation. PSPCA director of enforcement George Bengal said what was found in the 400 block of Rittenhouse Street were six deceased puppies in the trash can in the rear yard along with one living male Pitbull, and they found an additional dead adult dog inside the home, which was being used strictly as a stash house for a dog fighting crew. | A New Jersey Hospital is now warning patients that they may have been exposed to harmful and infectious diseases. The Shore Medical Center in NJ has stated that 213 patients may have been exposed to Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and HIV if they received an intravenous morphine, or hydrmorphone medications. | The NWS has confirmed that a tornado touched down in Lancaster County during last night's severe storms and is responsible for damage to several buildings. The tornado was rated an EF2 with winds estimated at 120-125 mph. The damage covered an area 4.7 miles long and 400 yards wide. Up to 50 buildings sustained damage, including several large barns, silos, and a one room school house.
