Blizzard Warning Starts 7pm, 18-24in; Free Xfinity Wifi Hotspots; Officer Hartnett Out of Hospital

A Blizzard Warning will now go into effect from Friday at 7 p.m. to Sunday at 10 a.m. The storm is coming in earlier and the National Weather Service has increased the expected snow totals in our area to 18-24". Philadelphia has declared a snow emergency starting at 9pm Friday night. All cars must be cleared from snow emergency routes by that time or they will be towed. Rock legend Billy Joel is returning to Philly this summer, with a concert July 9 at Citizen's Bank Park. Joel will become the first artist ever to play the Phillies' ballpark three years in a row. This will be the fifth time that legendary artist Billy Joel will take to the stage at the home of the Phillies with the distinct honor of performing at Citizens Bank Park more often than any other entertainer.

Center City Shooter Witnesses Help Police, PennDOT Plow Tracking, Storm Surges Beer and Wine Sales

A man was shot late Thursday night in Center City, and the shooter has been arrested thanks to some witnesses. The shooting happened around 11 p.m. at 15th and Chestnut Streets. Witnesses inside a nearby restaurant followed the shooter, and guided police over the phone to where the gunman was eventually arrested a few blocks away. The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition. Police say the victim had narcotics on him, but no motive has been determined at this time.

The state office that enforces ethical behavior by lawyers urged the Pennsylvania Supreme Court on Wednesday to reaffirm its suspension of Attorney General Kathleen G. Kane's law license. Two weeks ago, Kane asked the high court to undo its unanimous order suspending her license. She did so as the state Senate moved forward on a proposal to remove her as the state's highest-ranking law enforcement official because she no longer has a license to practice law. A Chester County man is under arrest and charged with the murder of his grandmother and the attempted rape of both his mother and grandmother. 23-year-old Kevin Havelow returned home to the 100 block of Irwin Drive in Lower Oxford where they all live along with his sister sometime after midnight Tuesday. A 4-alarm fire ripped through a 3-story apartment building in Center City this evening. It started around 5:40 p.m. at 2122 Locust Street near Rittenhouse Square. Around 20 people were evacuated from the building. The fire quickly grew going to 3-alarms at 6:28 p.m. and 4-alarms right after at 6:35 p.m. Firefighters had to deal with the frigid temperatures in the 20's and the brisk winds gusting up to 20.
