Philadelphia Police continue to be on alert after receiving a tip following last week's ambush shooting of Officer Jesse Hartnett. On Saturday night, police received an anonymous tip that 30-year-old Edward Archer belonged to a group of radicalized men that may still be targeting law enforcement. The suspect who ambushed and shot a Philadelphia police officer on Thursday night was arraigned in court on Saturday. 30-year-old Edward Archer of Yeadon was charged with eight charges including attempted murder, aggravated assault and assault of a law enforcement officer. 33-year-old Philadelphia Police officer Jesse Hartnett was shot 3 times in the left arm while sitting in his patrol car at 60th and Spruce Street in West Philadelphia around 11:30 p.m. Thursday night. (see video below) 30-year-old Edward Archer of Yeadon ambushed the officer, firing 11 shots from a 9mm hand gun up to point blank range. A pregnant mother and her young child died in a row house fire in Philadelphia. The fire broke out around 4 a.m. Friday on North 4th Street. Authorities say the mother went back into the home in an attempt to save her two-year-old child. The victims were found on the second floor, where the mother was found cradling her child. Family members on scene have identified the mother and son as Elizabeth Perez and Nathaniel Richardson. Perez was eight months pregnant.
