Amoroso's Baking Company is closing its Philadelphia bakery starting in October, and moving to Bellmawr, New Jersey. About 200 people are being laid off, but they’re able to apply for new jobs at the facility in Camden County. Amoroso's and Ginsburg Bakery of Atlantic City are opening a new joint facility in Bellmawr, taking advantage of New Jersey tax credits.

The Secret Service has informed couples who had weddings and reception plans in the city that they would have to cancel and reschedule. Margie Winters, the Waldron Mercy Academy teacher who was fired last month because she is in a same-sex marriage, hand-delivered a petition yesterday to the offices of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia seeking reinstatement.
