SEPTA's Papal Pass Lottery closed just before midnight and the final tally is in. 38,013 entries are in for SEPTA's lottery to get a chance to buy the regional rail passes for the weekend of the Pope's Visit. What are the odds looking like? Each entry could have requested up to 10 tickets, but not everyone did that. In all, there are 350,000 passes available for September 26th and 27th. Video of hitchBOT's final night in Philadelphia, including surveillance footage of the suspect who smashed the robot early on Saturday morning in Old City, has surfaced. The Eagles opened training camp and coach Chip Kelly is again dealing with accusations by a former player. Defensive Back Brandon Boykin was traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers and texted Comcast SportsNet. “Chip is uncomfortable around grown men of our culture. SEPTA's second attempt at selling regional rail tickets for the Pope's visit is now underway, but this time, it's a lottery that ends at midnight tonight. So there's no need to rush to their website, and for that you can thank a local internet startup. After their first try at Pope train ticket sales crashed the website, SEPTA reached out to TicketLeap, a Center City company that helps event organizers sell tickets on line.

A 22-year-old woman was shot and killed inside her Port Richmond home on Thursday night as her 2-year-old daughter lay next to her in bed. It happened on the 3000 block of Aramingo Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Thursday night. Stephanie Dzikowski was found shot in the head in an upstairs bedroom, the child was not hurt. The American dentist who killed Cecil the lion is being sought for extradition to Zimbabwe to stand trial. Dr. Walter Palmer has gone into hiding as social media explodes with criticism over the incident. Zimbabwe says the crime happened in their country and Walter Palmer should be tried there.

A young mother was shot in the head and killed with her 2 year old child still in the house. Police say this happened around 11:00 p.m. Thursday night on the 3000 Block of Aramingo Avenue in Port Richmond. Authorities say the mother was shot in an upstairs bedroom. Her daughter was not harmed and is now safe with friends in the neighborhood. Police do not have the shooter in police custody. Three people are dead and two are severely injured after a high speed car accident in Bustleton on Wednesday night. It happened near Red Lion Road and Sandmeyer Lane just before midnight. A 2007 Acura was traveling at a high rate of speed and hit a tree, tearing the car in half. Two 17-year-old girls and a 20-year-old male are dead, and a 17 and 19-year-old were both injured. Cole Hamels is headed to the Texas Rangers. The Phillies ace pitcher was a hot commodity on the trade block as several teams in the playoff hunt made offers. In the end Texas offered the most attractive package in the trade. After years of trade speculation, Cole Hamels' time in Philadelphia is ending. The Phillies have agreed to trade Hamels to the Texas Rangers for a package of prospects. Hamels becomes the first pitcher in major league history traded during a season immediately after throwing a no-hitter — he no-hit the Chicago Cubs on Saturday at Wrigley Field.
