A winter storm warning is in effect across the Delaware Valley until 10 pm, on what is typically the busiest travel day of the year. There are flight delays at PHL, so check with your airlines. Many people took to the roads overnight and early this morning to beat the snow. And that's lightening the traffic load on the roads a bit. The temperature is continuing to fall so give yourself extra time and be safe out on the roads.

The first significant storm of the season is bearing down on the region and will pile up more than half a foot of snow by Wednesday night in parts of the Delaware Valley. Winter Storm Warnings have been posted for the Poconos, Lehigh Valley and northern Bucks, Montgomery and Chester counties. A Winter Weather advisory is in effect for Philadelphia and nearby suburbs. Lawyer Charged Sex w/ 14-year-old; Philadelphia Protests Continue; Padgett Vanishing Now Criminal

A Center City lawyer has been charged for having sex with a 14-year-old girl on several occasions at his downtown office. The girl was being held captive in a sex-trafficking ring at a home in Germantown in March 2012. District Attorney Seth Williams said that 56-year-old attorney Brian Meehan would pay to have her sent to his office where he would engage in sexual acts with her and give her alcohol. Northampton Mom Still Missing; Chaos in Ferguson; Snowfall Update

The 33 year old mother of three from Northampton, PA is still missing as State Police used helicopters to search for clues. Jessica Padgett (pictured) left work at Duck Duck Goose Day Care Center Friday afternoon to run an errand and never returned. Her car was found in a nearby Dollar General parking lot with her cell phone and personal belongings inside.

Body of Missing Woman Found; Rowhouse Fire Kills Boy; Shocking Case of Elder Abuse

The body of Crystal Goodwin was discovered yesterday behind a warehouse on Delaware Avenue in South Philly at about 2 pm near the Columbus Commons shopping center. Goodwin's body was naked and bloody, and had a laceration to the right rib cage. Goodwin, who had a history with drug use, was released from prison on Tuesday and went missing the following day. The cause and manner of death is still being investigated.

Mother of Murdered Children Dies; Body of Missing Crystal Goodwin Found; Thanksgiving Eve Snowstorm

The mother who killed two of her children and critically injured her other child has died. Jeannine LePage is believed to have shot her three children and then turned the gun on herself. State Police made the tragic discovery Friday inside the home on Holly Park Drive in Tabernacle, New Jersey. On Sunday, 44-year-old Jeannine LePage died in the hospital. Her 11 year old son Alexander, remains in extremely critical condition.

Murdering Mother Dies; Jessica Padgett Disappears; Man Robs Bank After Gambling Away His Pay Check

State police are currently investigating the disappearance of Jessica Padgett, a 33-year-old daycare worker from Lehigh County. According to reports, Padget left her job in Northampton Borough Friday at about 1 p.m. Her car, a white Subaru Outback, was found later in the parking lot of a nearby store. Her cell phone was also found in the car. She is described as 5'2" with brown hair and hazel eyes. Padgett was last seen wearing grey sweatpants and a black sweatshirt with "Duck Duck Goose"... Philadelphia Police have arrested a man already on probation for a series of tire slashings in Northeast Philly in the spring of 2012 for a new rash of vandalism in his new neighborhood. David Toledo was convicted for slashing the tire of numerous vehicles in his Mayfair neighborhood. He interjected himself into that investigation and even destroyed his own tires.
