According to a report by TMZ, the boyfriend of "Glee" star Becca Tobin (pictured) has been found dead in a Philadelphia hotel. He is identified as 35 year old Matt Bendik said to have been found yesterday afternoon but details were not known. Bendik owned nightclubs around the country. Glee’s Becca Tobin who plays cheerleader Kitty in the show, is also in Philadelphia but it is not known where she was at the time of death.

A pharmaceutical deliveryman was shot this morning while making a delivery in North Philadelphia. It happened around 10:30 a.m. on the 2300 block of Ridge Avenue outside of the Wellness Pharmacy. The man was delivering a supply of prescriptions when he was approached by a gunman on the sidewalk and shot once in the index finger. He was rushed to Hahnemann Hospital and is in stable condition. A beautiful stone mansion in Wayne, PA was severely damaged by fire yesterday. The owner of the home on the 200 block of Wyndom Lane is a stone mason who built the home with his own hands and has helped to build many homes on the Main Line. The fire started in the garage where the homeowner was working on his car then spread to the rest of the home. The homeowner suffered minor injuries.

Cigarette Tax Outcome May Be Pink Slips, Philadelphia Homeownership Down, Germantown Woman Tied Up

Philadelphia's schools superintendent says if the state legislature doesn't authorize a cigarette tax by the middle of next month, he'll begin sending out pink slips. The state house reconvenes August 4th to consider an amendment-laden measure authorizing a cigarette tax to help fund Philadelphia schools. The district is losing an estimated $1.6 million in revenue every week that tax is delayed. Superintendent William Hite says revenue from the tax is critical to opening school on time.Read More

Police in Upper Darby have arrested a man they say has been sneaking into women's bedrooms at night while they were sleeping then stood over and watched them. The suspect has been identified as 21-year-old Tyrell Booker of Yeadon, PA. So far he has been charged for one incident, but authorities believe he is responsible for the other 5 incidents reported. Strong storms rolled through last night with high winds and brief heavy rain bringing down tree limbs and knocking out the power. Many roads are still closed for tree and power line cleanup. And as of this morning, over 130,000 customers were still without electricity in PA, NJ and DE.

Strong storms are moved across the region Tuesday night, leaving many customers without power. PECO reported a total of about 204,000 outages in the region. Delmarva reported about 21,000 outages, PSEG reported 17,700 and AC Electric had about 13,400 outages.

The city has announced it will review the Welcome America 4th of July concert on the Parkway focusing on the foul language used by several of the performers. The language made it uncomfortable for parents who brought children expecting a family friendly show. The televised concert featured Nicki Ninaj (pictured), The Roots, Ed Sheeran and others.
