Suspect Charged in Allentown Craigslist Murder; School Bus Crash in Wynnefield Heights

A suspect has been charged with the murder of an Allentown area man that he met on Craigslist. 27-year-old Tyrell Ronald Young of Reading has been charged with homicide, robbery, illegally possessing a firearm, theft of a vehicle and receiving stolen property relating to a vehicle and a firearm. 41-year-old Eric Ervin of Coopersburg was found shot to death inside a trailer he uses for his auto detailing business early in the morning on Wednesday. Rolling Stone Magazine is taking some heat over a mistake it made on its cover this month. In a nude photo of actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus, the U.S. Constitution is tattooed on her naked back. Just above her bare bottom is the signature of John Hancock. The problem - Hancock did not sign the Constitution. John Hancock signed the Declaration of Independence.

Flailing away with two kitchen knives, a 16-year-old boy with a "blank expression" stabbed and slashed 21 students and a security guard in the crowded halls of his suburban Pittsburgh high school Wednesday before an assistant principal tackled him. At least five students were critically wounded. Suit Corner Old City Destroyed By Fire; 20 Injured by Teen Slash/Stab Spree in PA High School

Flames destroyed a landmark Old City business today as fire engulfed the building at 3rd and Market. The Suit Corner has been at the southwest corner of the intersection for the past 50 years with it's iconic red, white, and blue facade. Fire broke out around 9:15 am. The owner and all employees were able to make it out safely. The fire department responded within 3 minutes but flames had taken over the structure. Train Derails in Port Richmond, Sting Operation, Damages Awarded to Fan at Linc

A freight train derailed this morning in Northeast Philadelphia on Aramingo Avenue between Castor and Butler Street in Port Richmond. Two derailed cars stopped in the middle of Aramingo causing commuter traffic problems while crews got the cars back on track. No one was injured.

This afternoon, the Phillies get their home season started at Citizens Bank Park. Led by healthy veterans Chase Utley, Ryan Howard and Jimmy Rollins, the Fightin' Phils have shown some offensive power during the first week of play. While their record stands at 3 and 3, manager Ryne Sandberg is generally pleased with some positive signs.

A teenager was shot and killed this morning in Northeast Philadelphia by an intruder. 19-year-old Shaquelle Abraham was shot once in the chest by the suspect who entered the apartment, fired, and left without taking anything. It happened after 10am on a second floor apartment in the home at 9418 Fairgreen Lane. The victim's girlfriend was able to call police while hiding inside a closet. SEPTA Still Working, Heavy Rain Postpones Phillies Opener, New Rules at City Pools

The Transit Workers Union Local 234 has decided to continue to work while they negotiate with SEPTA over new contracts. So the busses, trains and trolleys will continue to roll, at least for now, as SEPTA employees keep on working. One of the sticking points is the length of the new contract. The Union wants 2 years. SEPTA would like a longer term.
