Pennsylvania State Police are looking for a man wanted for tying up his 80-year-old adopted mother and stealing her car and over $1,000 in cash from her Delaware County home last week. It happened around 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, 2/11, in Middletown Township. 45-year-old Christopher Dougherty broke into the residence armed with a hammer. He bound him mom to a chair with duct tape. Delaware County authorities have identified the suspect wanted in a shooting at a Walmart on Sunday morning, 2/14. Police are looking for 28-year-old Devante Dixon. It happened at the store at 50 North MacDade Blvd in Glenolden around 8:30 a.m. after an argument between the shooter and an employee, possibly over a video game. A car lost control on the icy roads early Sunday morning, 2/14, and ended up down the block on its roof in Philadelphia's Frankford section. It happened around 3:30 a.m. on Bridge Street near Ditman Street. The car was speeding eastbound when it slid on the ice and hit a pole. The car went airborne and struck an awning attached to a home. Authorities in Darby, Delaware County, have been involved in a standoff for several hours this Sunday afternoon, 2/14. The standoff started around 1 p.m. on the 400 block of Main Street. It may be connected to a shooting at the Walmart on MacDade Boulevard in Glenolden earlier this morning around 8:30 a.m. Police used the Walmart shooting suspect's cellphone to track him to this Darby location. A thief was caught on surveillance video stealing a number of heat lamps from a Center City restaurant overnight on Friday, 2/12. It happened at McGillin's Olde Ale House in the alleyway on Drury Street in Midtown Village. The thief cut the locks on four lamps and loaded them in the back of a white pickup truck.
