Philadelphia City Controller Alan Butkovitz was an early winner as ballots from the Pennsylvania primary election are being tallied. Butkovitz, who's seeking a third term, easily beat back challengers Brett Mandel and attorney Mark Zecca on Tuesday in a city where Democrats outnumber Republicans nearly 9-1. In November, he’ll face businessman Terry Tracy, who was unopposed for the GOP nod.

Death of "Faith Healing" Baby Schaible Ruled Homicide; Box of Old Ammo Explodes in New Castle, DE

The death of an 8-month-old child of a local "faith healing" couple has been ruled a homicide Brandon Schaible died on April 18th. His parent's, Herbert and Catherine Schaible, are fundamentalist Christians who believe in the power of prayer instead of modern medicine. The Medical Examiner found that Brandon died from bacterial pneumonia and dehydration due to a Group B Stretpococcus infection. No charges have been filed. Office Building in Havertown Evacuated for Carbon Monoxide Leak

A two-story office building in Havertown was evacuated for over an hour early this afternoon for a carbon monoxide leak. The L&M Professional Center located at 31 S. Eagle Road near the intersection oF West Chester Pike and Eagle Road was quickly evacuated shortly before 1pm. A CO alarm in Domino's Pizza on the first floor of the building alerted the presence of the colorless, odorless gas. Oklahoma Twister Death Toll Revised Downward

Crews are digging through the disaster area in Moore, Oklahoma where a tornado, one mile wide packing winds topping 200 miles per hour, ripped through the suburban neighborhood. According to the medical examiner, 24 are confirmed dead including 9 children. These numbers have been revised downward as some had been counted twice in the chaos that immediately followed the twister.

Doors Founder Ray Manzarek Dies, Oklahoma Twister Disaster, DeCoatsworth Accused in 2012

Founding member of the Doors, Ray Manzarek died yesterday surrounded by his family in Rosenheim, Germany after a long battle with bile duct cancer. Manzarek along with lead singer, Jim Morrison created a rock music legacy in the 1960's that still endures today. Before Morrison's death in 1971, the Doors recorded 6 studio albums including monster rock hits, "Light My Fire," "Touch Me" and "Riders on the Storm." Ray Manzarek was 74.

Bucks County prosecutors called him the "mastermind" of the entire robbery plot that ended with Levittown musician Danny DeGennaro shot to death, even though the Trenton man didn't fire a shot. That detail helped a Bucks County jury from finding 20-year-old Jermaine M. Jackson guilty of second-degree murder on Monday after 8 hours of deliberation. Woodcrest Country Club New Owners, Cooper Nurse Attacked, Oklahoma City Tornado

The Woodcrest Country Club in Cherry Hill will soon have new owners. Cherry Hill Land Associates won the property for $10.1 million. They were among four major bidders that attended the private auction in Center City on Monday morning. The group has not commented on what they would do with the 155 acres of land, but folks living near the country club say they hope it doesn't become housing or retail space.

Police are still tracking a missing University of Rhode Island student on his way home from college to Skippack, PA in Montgomery County. Matthew Royer, a 21-year-old pharmacy student, left university in Kingston, RI on Thursday night. Previously the last confirmed sighting of Royer was just after 2am on surveillance video at a gas station at Route 78 and Route 100 in Breinigsville about 30 minutes from home. A 21 year old Skippack student has gone missing on his trip home from University of Rhode Island. Matthew Royer texted his mother Thursday night, before he started the seven hour drive home, letting her know he was leaving. His phone was traced to a gas station in Allentown where he was last seen on surveillance video early Friday morning, just 35 miles from home.

A couple hundred health care workers at Temple University Hospital and their supporters held a rally on North Broad Street Sunday afternoon. The point was to protest the administration's decision to not immediately reinstate a fired employee after an arbitrator ruled that she should be allowed to return to work.
