A Ventnor, NJ woman has been charged with the murder of her husband who disappeared 6 years ago. Loretta Doyle Burroughs, 61, was arrested for the murder of Daniel Burroughs, 66, on Friday. The cold case was reopened in February when Police were contacted by family members of Daniel Boroughs. The Powerball ticket buying frenzy for tomorrow's drawing has pushed the jackpot to over a half a billion dollars. Currently the $550 million jackpot ranks the second biggest of all time. However it appears likely that brisk ticket sales before tomorrow’s drawing will push the jackpot past the record $587.5 million Powerball jackpot from November 2012.

Authorities say a homeless man, who became an internet celebrity, was arrested in Philadelphia and charged with a northern New Jersey murder Thursday night. Caleb Lawrence McGillvary was arrested by Philadelphia Police at the Greyhound Bus Terminal. McGillvary became an internet celebrity after a rambling television interview of him went viral after he intervened during an attack in California earlier this year. UPDATE:Philadelphia Police have arrested Caleb Lawrence McGillvary, aka Kai, at the Greyhound bus terminal at N. 10th and Filberts Streets in Philadelphia. McGillvary has been charged with the homicide of Joseph Galfy, Jr., which occurred in Clark, N.J. on May 12, 2013. Bail is set at $3 million. Police have arrested a man charged in the murder of a Philadelphia club disc jockey. Eighteen year old Josephe Murray allegedly shot Tom Watson, aka DJ Fenicx, on Saturday as Watson entered his apartment above the Haagen Dazs ice cream store on South Street. A second suspect in the shooting is being sought.

Four people were shot in Southwest Philadelphia Wednesday night. The incident happened on the 2600 block of South Daggett Street in the Elmwood section. An innocent person was hit by a stray bullet that went inside a home. Three others were also shot. Philadelphia Police rushed all four victims to the hospital.

Mayor Michael Nutter announced a funding package today that would give the Philadelphia School District $95 million in additional budget. That is significantly more than the $60 million the district requested to fill it's current budget gap. $22 million would come from raising the liquor-by-the-drink tax from 10 percent to 15 percent effective July 1st. Sixers guard Nick Young is accused of drugging a woman at a bar and raping her two years ago, Eagles running back LeSean McCoy is accused of roughing up a woman then kicking her off a party bus travelling from Philly to New York in December.

Trenton Standoff Teen Identified, North Philadelphia Shooting Victim, McDaniel Faces Jail Time

Authorities have identified the 12-year-old boy who, along with his mother, was found dead in a Trenton home; the site of a 37-hour long standoff with police over the weekend. The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office says Quavon Foster was killed a little less than two weeks before what would have been his 13th birthday. Police say 38-year-old Gerald Murphy killed the mother and son.

Former West Philadelphia abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell has agreed to give up all future appeals in his case in exchange for life in prison without parole. Gosnell was found guilty yesterday of first-degree murder of three babies born alive and viable during abortion procedures, involuntary manslaughter of a woman who died of an overdose on anesthesia, as well as over 200 counts of other violations.
